LGBT Ireland is a national organisation which provides quality support
services to Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and Intersex (LGBTI+) people
across the country. Informed by the issues and experiences raised
through our frontline services we also provide training and advocacy
supports to enhance the visibility, inclusion and rights of LGBT
people in Irish society.

To enhance the capacity of LGBT Ireland to deliver on its vital work,
we are inviting applications for a fulltime Administrative and Finance
Officer.

PURPOSE OF THIS POST:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the
day-to-day financial and governance operations of LGBT Ireland. This
is an exciting opportunity to work within LGBT Ireland’s dynamic
staff team focused on the enhancement of human rights and wellbeing
for LGBTI+ community. The organisation puts a strong emphasis on
supporting and developing all team members and the successful
candidate will be provided with opportunities to enhance their skills
through training and to contribute to the overall strategic
development of the organisation.

Structure of this Post:

This is a part-time ( * hours per week) post on
a permanent contract, subject to funding.

The post holder will report directly to the CEO of LGBT Ireland.

THE KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE
OFFICER WILL INCLUDE:

FINANCE

* Ensure financial systems & processes run smoothly.
* Perform & record day to day financial transactions, including
online banking.
* Undertake monthly payroll and submissions to revenue.
* Maintenance of funding records and reports.
* Preparing the bi-monthly management accounts & annual budget in
collaboration with the CEO and Senior Managers.
* Support the CEO in maintaining appropriate financial controls.
* Organising regular meetings of the Governance, Risk and Finance
sub-group of the Board of Directors, including preparation of
documents for same.

GOVERNANCE

* Maintain organisation’s risk register.
* Complete all Charity Regulator returns.
* Complete all returns to CRO.
* Complete CHY Revenue returns when required.

OTHER DUTIES

* Attendance at staff meetings and other organisational events when
required.
* Support with general administrative tasks when required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record
in the following essential requirements for the role:

* At least 3 years of experience in similar administrative role.
* Excellent experience with office management software like MS
Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
* Experience of using online accounting software (Sage or similar)
* Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
* Ability to work on one’s own initiative and to meet deadlines.
* Ability to take direction and work collaboratively

The ideal candidate is likely to also have the following desirable
qualities:

* Accounting technician qualification or similar
* Understanding of LGBTI+ issues

THE SALARY SCALE FOR THIS POST RANGES FROM €**APPLY ON THE
